much the first word on

found here. This trilogy is
practically required
bookshelf bling for the
serious black and white
photographer. In
addition, it is really useful
stuff, especially The
Negative. The books are
particularly illuminating
on the second or third
read, with breaks for
practical head banging,
uhh, I mean, practical
experience.
